Holiday Home Tour 2017

December 8, 2017

Hi everyone!  I am so excited to be apart of 17 other talented bloggers coming together to bring you an epic Christmas Holiday Home Tour of 2017!  I cannot wait to welcome you into my home.  What is the most fun for me about this is just how much I adore this time of year.  It is so inspiring to see how different homes welcome Christmas decor and decorate!  Checking out different styles, colors, and getting different ideas is just amazing!  I have to admit I am one of those people who loves walking past my favorite houses at night to get a peak inside at what they look like! (I promise I am not a creep!)  So, basically this is the un-creepy way of getting a look into some beautiful homes inside!!!

Welcome to my Christmas home this year :) COME ON IN!

Formal Dining Room/Tree:

Check out my previous post for Dollar Tree finds. Almost my entire tree, including the fake snow are all from Dollar Tree...I mean you cannot beat a dollar right?!  I love a mix of all different size ornaments.  I think it gives my tree texture and just pops!  Especially with throwing in my signature teals and aquas!

I love how my house has a super open layout!  You can literally see right through it!  It is a blessing and a curse because if one area is messy you can see it all!  Also, it can make trying to take a picture of a certain area challenging because you can always see all of the other rooms too!  But, it is great for company, and nice and cozy because you can always see everyone in the house from basically any angle! This is for sure one of my favorite views in the house!  The garland is from Pottery barn, the flowers ornamentals, & snowflakes are all from dollar tree!  Of course we cannot forget about the sentimental ornaments and the ones that my son has made over the years! :)

Dining Room Table Scape:

Now, lets talk about my formal dining room table center piece!  I really wanted to make my house feel and look like a winter wonderland!  I found those adorable snowflakes from Home Goods, the candles, light up mini trees, and candle holders are all from Pottery Barn.  As mentioned before, the fake snow if from Dollar Tree and the runner is from Marshal's.

Okay you guys! How fun are these Pottery Barn gem trees?!  They were a gift from my mo last Christmas and I just love them!  This mirrored buffet table hardly gets photographed or shown on my Instagram page (@HappyHomeonHaddon) because it is in such a weird spot to get a great picture of!  However, it is the perfect home for our manger set...which is what the season is all really about! :)

Breakfast area:

This was such a fun space to create!  I literally went "shopping" around my house!  I have a blog post up on that if you want to get creative, not spend money, and use things around your house to stage a photo!  I am just in love with these mini Target Dollar Spot trees!  My white plates are from Pottery Barn & the plate chargers, dessert cups, and napkins are all from Pier 1 Imports.  The tray is from Kirkland.  The awesome silver Christmas trees are lucky Home Goods Finds!  There is something about adding pops of color that just draw me in and make me feel happy!  I feel like the whole light, bright, and happy thing is totally my style!

The Office:

The kitchen:

Alright we are a HUGE candy loving family!  These candy jars have been long empty and refilled...then repeat!  Totally teachers self-discipline! ha!  I love the antlers that I found from Micheal's that were actually ornaments and I just cut off the string!  I had extra garland and ornaments, so I thought why not make something cute over the kitchen windows?! My FAVORITE part are the sparkly "NOEL" letters on the open glass cabinets!  They were 7 dollars for all 4 from Hobby Lobby!  Also, make sure you take your wreath down when cooking if you have one over the stove!  I got that wreath for 3 dollars from Micheal's! SCORE!

Family Area/Room:

I can't help myself and I love switching out the pillows depending on the season!  I just can't get enough go my snowflake & Christmas pillows! Subtle changes that make a big statement for not a lot of money are what this girl is all about!  The pillows, little sign, and silver trees were all Home Goods Finds! I also added little target dollar spot trees and sparkly stars that I added to my cool orange shell cabinet!

The entryway

If you follow me on IG your sure to know "Fred" my reindeer head! haha When I saw him at Hobby Lobby it was love at first site! I knew exactly where to put him and dressed him up with some ornaments hanging from his antlers = perfect touch! The snowflake garland was only 1 dollar off of Amazon Prime! The shelf, silver trees, sign, and lit up tree are all from Home Goods!.  The mirror and candlesticks are from Pier1 .  The mini silver trees are from Micheal's!  I find that I ALWAYS plan a room around the first item that I fall in love with and this case it was 'Fred" haha!

powder room:

I was not kidding when I said no room in our house goes untouched...whether it be big or small!  This was an old table centerpiece that I had over when we lived at the condo!  I could not part with it and was determined to find the perfect place.  I mean why not the powder room?! I saw its perfect and gives it a Christmas touch!

Athena's Nursery & Bentley's Room

It is my baby girl Athena's first Christmas! She is 10 months old and I had so much fun adding fun bright pops of color to her tree just like her room!  My son looks up to his dad big time (who is an Officer in the Army) so, naturally his room is patriotic and Army themed!  I found an old bullet box to put the base of his tree in!.

Our Christmas Front Porch:

I seriously had a blast planning this out in my head!  I am a night before type of gal who doesn't really have a set plan until the last minute!  I had a bunch of over sized ornaments and love the over flowing look! I have so much fun with the outside of my house because it is a different color scheme than the inside! I will have a separate blog post all about our front porch!

Thank you so much for reading my post and checking out my blog!  You have no idea how much I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!  Don't forget to subscribe to stay up to date on all the latest news from Happy Home on Haddon xoxo -Jen
