"YAY! I just cannot wait to do and fold loads and loads of laundry!" .....said NO ONE ever!!! Don't get me wrong I know the feeling after being FINISHED doing the laundry is a great feeling...or just pure tiredness lol! However, it's like working out...the hardest part is getting started ha! Laundry in my book, is by far the worst household chore of them all!!!! Hey, someone has to do it!
Laundry rooms and areas are not typically seen by too many house guests....But, why not make it cute for your own sanity/pleasure?! It can be the little bright spot in your laundry chores for the day! The pictures below show the before and after of one side of our laundry room.
BEFORE: (previous owners)
You can make small changes without it being super costly...yet, make a big style impact! The biggest change from the before to after is the awesome white subway tile that I am OBSESSED with! I like how it carries different parts of our house together. We have white subway tile as a backsplash in out kitchen and as a backsplash in our basement bar area! Luckily, my brother-in-laws are contractors and give us an amazing price for install! (they are fantastic) These are generic white subway tiles that we purchased from our local Home Depot.

The knobs are awesome finds from hobby lobby! There were cute silver knobs before...but I wanted to just bedazzle the space a little bit and make it just a tad bit more feminine/cuter! Guys, changing knobs can totally transform a piece of furniture! You have no idea how many knobs I have changed in my house! haha!

The coral laundry basket adds the perfect pop of bright color for me!! I found this amazing laundry basket from Target!
Here is the link to my coal laundry basket for tiger ($3.99)
This awesome chalkboard/ hanging thing was a lucky Home Goods Find! It was easy to hang up on the subway tile with command strips! I am in love with command strips!!!!!!!
Moving on to the other side of the laundry room! How fun and cute is this little area? I love the "things, stuff, extra" cool basket/shelving unit...it was another major Home Goods SCORE!
The pop of color teal shelf, greenery, and letter"R" are all from Home Goods as well! Wish I had a link for them for you guys....but you know Home Goods.....there for a second....GONE the next!
Here are some things in this photo that I can actually link!:
My fun patterned laundry board cover from Target ($14.99)
Coral trashcan from Target--- matches my laundry bin ;) ($9.99)
Teal Patterned Rug (they don't have the exact one anymore but I am going to link one that I love even more then mine!!
Last but not lease! The two cute wood "wash" and "dry" signs that I snagged from Hobby Lobby! (each $9.99)
Amen to that little minion!! ha!!! SO TRUE! I hope you all enjoyed my blog post about my laundry room transformation! Even if you have just a tiny little laundry area...adding a sign or something fun can make the worst chore ever more bearable! Have fun with it and don't be scared to mix some colors and patterns together! That was my overall goal for my house was to make it light, bright, whimsical, and fun....so even if its a "bad day" or rainy day....my house interior would cheer me up and brighten my spirits!
