My Fall & Halloween Front Porch

October 4, 2017

Hi friends!! Welcome to my inviting front porch! I have been loving this Fall weather that has decided to make an appearance in South Jersey (even though it has been a little inconsistent) I welcome it with open arms! Fall decor is fun because it really can get you through 3 entire months...September, October, and November. I know that decor can be costly $$, but that's why I decided to write this blog post, to show you how to change up your decor from fall>>>Halloween>>Thanksgiving...with little & inexpensive touches from holiday to holiday!

The greenery in the square black boxes are a staple on my front porch all year round! I got them form a local floral store here in south jersey called April's Garden (she has AMAZING UNIQUE stuff that is show stopping!) I love the height, shape, and black colored boxes, that have an X design on all four sides, because I think it goes perfectly with the front door.

Guys, I am obsessed with my wreath!  It is also from April's Garden!  I leave it up for September through November.  I dressed it up with an inexpensive banner "Happy Halloween with a skull" and bats that I found at Dollar Tree....talk about SCORE!!!!

These bats did not come with anything to hang them up with, so I used command strips and they seem to be holding up very well! in the above/below picture of my Halloween front porch, I also added two grave stones that give it just the perfect amount of SPOOK! They were each a dollar from Dollar Tree. With just 4 dollars I totally transformed my entry way from fall to Halloween! You can't beat that!

Hello! Pumpkin OBSESSED over here!!!! These fun stackable pumpkins are all apart of my pumpkin hoarding!  In my book, there can never be enough pumpkins!!! These are all a mix of pumpkins I have collected throughout the years.  Some are from : Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, and the real pumpkins are from a local farm near me called Johnson's Farm. I wanted the pumpkins to be fun and funky!  Each side is colorful and unique and not perfectly symmetrical, which was what I was going for!

I forgot to mention that my "Hello" rug is from good old Target!  This is honestly my first year really decorating for Halloween.  I normally just keep with a fall theme, but I am having so much fun with it!  The best part is having my 7 years old son, Bentley, help me decorate and to see the excitement on his face when we are finished...it's priceless!  I was lucky to have a lot of left over decorations from being a teacher for 6 years.  I would always decorate my classroom for my students and I am loving doing it with my son this time around!

I also wanted to show you my fall flower box!! I am a terrible real plant person. I have cats who want to eat any living plant I bring into the house and I am not good at keeping things alive very long :( I got some fake sunflowers from Hobby Lobby (they were 50% off) and some fake pumpkins (also from Hobby Lobby 40% off) and together they make the perfect Fall flower box! They don't need to be changed out until Christmas! Boy oh boy....Christmas is my FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR! I AM SERIOUSLY AN ELF! Is it weird that I have a countdown on my phone with home many sleeps left until Christmas?!?!

I hope you enjoyed my Fall/Halloween front porch post!  If you have any questions or want direct sources feel free to message me in the contact section or DM me on my Instagram @HappyHomeonHaddon! Have a great afternoon and thank you so much for checking out my blog! :)
